In 2002 Light Impact, as the company was known then, imported their first salt lamps to the UK.

As the company spread across North America we concentrated at home on becoming the largest manufacturer and importer of all things 'Himalayan Salt'.

Leading the way with bath and body care products where the main ingredient is the mineral-laden pink salt of the Himalayan Foothills, we changed our name in 2007 to reflect our unique products and position in the market place.

In the past our wholesale customers have come from many different market places, such as world class spas (two voted in the top ten spas of the world), Garden Centres, Therapists in many fields, Gift Shops, Lighting specialists, Interior Designers, organisations such as The National Trust, Royal Botanical Gardens and Kew Gardens, Museums such as the Science Museum in London, mail companies and charities such as Gaiam, Amnesty International, WWF and top stores like Wholefoods, Fresh and Wild and Liberty's in London. If you are a new retail customer please feel free to contact us to find out your nearest stockist (it will save you shipping charges). However, if there are no stockists near you, our web prices reflect our recommended retail prices given to our stockists so, for a small shipping charge, you will be able to receive Himalayan Salt Company's products directly to your home.

For February we are offering up to 25% off some products (50% if you look really closely). Obviously whatever we do on our retail site we replicate for our wholesale customers so they themselves can offer great value and savings. Therefore wholesale savings begin at 20% and go right up to 50% also.

January was a great start to 2008. I think the time for Himalayan Salt for the masses has finally arrived.
